Adventures in prayer...

Spent the evening at the Detriot Temple with the Benner's, Jastal's, and Van Duren's. If you have questions about our Temples after perusing this link please let me know. I highly recommend the use of Sea-Bands if you get motion sick. For the first time I arrived at the temple with no nausea! No nausea make for a much more uplifting evening. The trip was as always entertaining. An evening of laughter and prayer...an evening well spent.
Scriptures from my adventure....
Job 42:2 - "I know thou canst do every thing and no thought is hidden from thee."
Romans 8: 14-39
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise that Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 For we know that all things worketh together for good of them that love God; to them who are called according to his purpose.
Started the day off with this thought... "We cannot see the future with precision, but we can know what the Lord intends and what it will take for each of us to qualify personally to participate." Henry B. Eyring
Karen Benner's new motto for driving...."If it's red look ahead." Good rule of thumb...just saying.
The Wendy's in Farmington Hills did not know what to do with the 0 degree temperatures and an order of 7 Frosty's. Great times! I am blessed.

Cacti!!! Is that how you spell cactus?

The above question was posed to me by Miss Syd. No sweetie the word cacti is plural for more than one cactus. Mom that's just weird.
We have a new book, used from the library for only $1, that the girls love it's called "Cacti and Succulents." Pictures, drawings and latin names all piled together into a book of happiness. Sydney and I bought this cactus last week at Bensell's Greenhouse. Today we were very excited to discover the new growth right on the tip of the cactus. Okay, of course it's on the tip. Really Susan, don't you know your meristematic tissues? But if you look really close you will see that there are four fingers popping out of the tip of the plant. Can't tell that she loves her plant, can you?
