More ladybugs...

Ladybug factory...
Today I made an amazing discovery! While in the process of relocating my ornamental grasses I found this little guy. He may look "like an alligator" according to the Rapplings but he turns into one of our favorite beneficial garden buddies.
Paige holding her "little larva buddy."
Eggs are flat and yellow... they are EVERYWHERE. Paige wanted to eat some eggs. "No sweetie, those aren't like the chicken eggs that we eat." That child will put anything in her mouth. Mr. Matt, a horticulturalist at TBG, discovered her trying to eat Milkweed today....yep, a little poisonous. We have to watch her every second.
One more Larva...

This is the Pupa stage of the Lady Beetle. They are stuck to the blades of grass. Kind of like a chrysalis.
Here is the process come full circle. I was just so excited to have these visitors. I remember my dad buying ladybugs by mail order when I was little. I feel like I just had Christmas. It doesn't take a lot to make my day, just thought I'd share.

I want to do that...
While snuggling with Miss Paige on Sunday we saw a commercial for the Tour de France. Our conversation went something like this..."Hey mom! I want to do that!"
Her face was all lit up like this was the best thing she had ever seen on television. She went back to being engrossed in the commercial.
After it was over she turned and said with a very serious little face, "You want to do it with me?"
Oh how John and I laughed and laughed... Sweetie, I'm definitely not up for the Tour de France today. I do hope that you keep dreaming BIG.
Promised to take her for a bike ride this week. I'm such a sucker for cute curly headed little girls.

Who knew rain could be so much fun?
Paige doesn't like baths. She will not sit down in the tub and so bath time is a little precarious since she also can't stand still. We have discovered(quite accidentally) that Paige doesn't mind being wet, in fact she loves to be wet. This is a first for a Rappling. Some siblings whose name we can't mention cannot even have a drop of water on their faces without calling for a towel. We have had a lot of rain recently and I have been leaving the studio door open, never thinking that my baby would love water! Paige is mesmerized. This rain stuff is the obviously best thing ever. Dunking her little head in the drips and saying, "Rain! Rain! Cole! Cole !" I guess a little water never hurt.
Two weeks after the making of this amazing footage I gave Paige her first shower. My older daughters obviously took a while to get used to the torture that is a shower. Paige couldn't believe her eyes! "Rain! Rain! Hot! Hot!" As she promptly dunked her head into the shower and giggled a little crazily. Never knew bath time could be so much fun.
